SOUTH PACIFIC

I was delighted to be invited to the opening night of the show along with Lyn Emmerson our NODA Regional Representative, and her husband Ray, but due to illness, Lyn was unable to attend, hence the reason why I am writing this report. As usual there was a warm welcome awaiting us as we entered the hall, whereupon two young ladies placed garlands round our necks which certainly set the scene for our visit to the South Pacific Island. I have seen South Pacific several times over the years but this production has to be the best I've ever seen. Ray and I were sorry when it came to an end, even though it was way All the principals must be congratulated on first rate performances. Nellie, Emile, Liat, Cable, Bloody Mary, Ngana and Jerome, gave us some excellent musical numbers and all on stage gave of their best. They are all stars! I cannot leave out Joy Millar (who made the piano sound like an orchestra) and Molly keeping her eye on the right page. Thank you again for inviting me, and may you enjoy great success in all your future endeavours.
past 10 o'clock and we had to travel back to Llandudno. The Producers, Christine and Ralph Peters can be justly proud of making the most of the moments of pathos and comedy, and Choreographer Judith Jeffries who had obviously been responsible for the chorus line of men doing a routine in figure hugging dresses, elbow length gloves and wigs. They would have put Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell to shame!!
